- Name : Saemangeum Development Project
- Purpose : Developing Saemangeum as the economic hub in North East Asia
- Location : Gunsan, Gimje, and Buan in Jellabukdo province
- Size : 40,100ha (Land: 28,300ha / Fresh Water Lake: 11,800ha)
- Major Construction : Sea Dikes 33km, 2 Sluice Gates, Inner Sea Dike 125km
- Period : Sea Dikes (1991~2009) / Internal Development (2009~2020)

- Constructing eco-friendly multi-functional areas(509ha, after coffering completed (April 2006) through fresh water landfill
within sea dikes, and currently and road pavement on the progress
- Basic architectural work on the progress for internal land development(October 2009)
- Promoting environmental measures for sewage system, animal excrement disposal plant, elevated low layer water
elimination system, etc.
